The snow was deep and the wind was cold, in Kat's eyes there was no better time to go out and build a snowman. Winter was not exactly the girls favourite time of year but the snow made the cold weather worth it. She loved the stuff. Pulling on her warmest track pants and pair of splash pants to keep her dry the tiny girl heaved her winter coat over her sweater and zipped it up before pulling on her hat and gloves. All in all she now looked like a big marshmallow and the clothing made her look twice as big as she really was.  Pulling on her boots she grabbed a bag of supplies before heading out the door. Trudging down the halls toward the outside she received many odd looks but it really didn't bother Kat. She was perfectly okay with being the weird girl of the 5th years, besides, nothing ever stopped her from doing fun things before, why should a few odd looks stop her now.

Once outside the petite girl started to scan the grounds for the best spot. She was looking for an area with clean snow, preferably with no tracks though it. It was always good for the spot to be out of the way, yet visible and after walking a little ways, she saw it! A fresh, clean, bright patch of snow. With a giggle and a hop she hurried over to it. Picking up a hand full she packed it into a tight ball and began to roll it across the ground. It was perfect packing snow and in no time she had a ball that was almost as big as she was. She then made one a little smaller and used her wand to levitate it onto the first. Next up was the head and her snowman was almost complete.

Picking up her bag full if buttons, a hat, mittens, scarf carrot and two sticks she looked up at the snowman that was almost twice the size she was. The only thing stopping her from finishing her little project was that she was nowhere near tall enough to reach the head. Making a face she stood for a moment trying to think. Eventually she had a brilliant idea. Well, brilliant for her anyway. Working quickly she rolled another large snowball, about the size of the snowman base, and put it right in front of her creation. Grabbing her bag of things she then commenced climbing onto the new ball so she could reach the head of her snowman. After a couple failed jumps and a bit of scurrying she eventually made it up.  With a little giggle Kat began singing while she gave a face to her new snow friend. "Frosty the snowman, was a jolly happy soul. With a corn cob pipe and a carrot nose and two eyes made out of coal." Within minutes she had completed her task. Adding the final touch, the large top hat, with a bright smile.
